Where do I begin after being gone for so long? I'll just begin here - with a poopy diaper on my van hood.
This is my life. I jump from thing to thing, and when I look back on my day, I see all of those things that I jumped to, strewn about me, with all sorts of loose ends. Like heading out through the garage to take a diaper out to the trash. I get out there, see the freezer, and remember that I need to take some chicken out to thaw. So, I do the natural thing, and set the dirty diaper on my hood. Later, while I'm driving, I notice one of those "loose ends" I was talking about. "If You Give A Mom a Diaper." Abby burns up so much energy, that sometimes she just falls to sleep wherever she happens to be. In this picture, she was probably under the table trying to find scraps of food to feed herself lunch. Not really, but possibly. Underneath that fuzzy blanket is a tired little girl, wearing only her undies. In the afternoon.
Who's this pretty lady? My Mom! We had some very special visitors last week. It was so fun having my parents and their dog at our house. Poor Granny. She can't get a moment to herself when she's here. The kids, and myself too, flock to her bed at night, and flock back there first thing in the morning. Before we know it, the whole family is crammed into their little room, dogs included. We just can't help being around her.
While my parents were here, we naturally went to the beach. Abby managed to get sanded up and down and inside out. Not surprising. When we got home, I thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly, showered the snot out of that kid, attempting to get sand out of everything. After her shower, she stopped for a pottie break. "MOM! MOM! Look in the toilet! I peed out sand!" I'm pretty sure there is still some exfoliation going on somewhere on her to this day.
You may wonder how my summer is going so far? Look at the first picture again, and you'll get the idea. It's freaking awesome! Really, I'm enjoying it so far.
